Bu yazıda sizlere son derece keyifle dinlediğim bir müzisyenden bahsedicem ve kendisiyle yaptığım küçük sohbete yer vericem.

Adı Scott Kelly ve o bir Neurosis. Kendisiyle yaptığım keyifli söyleşiye geçmeden önce The Wake albümüyle ilgili bir kaç şey söylemeliyim. Uzun zamandır böyle bir albüm dinlemedim, yada şöyle söylesem daha doğru olur; dinlerken bu kadar keyif aldığım bir albüm daha hatırlayamıyorum, belki biraz Nightwatchman, One Man Revolution ama tam olarak aynı duyguları vermiyor. Ancak hemen hemen müzikal olarak aynı eksende olduklarını söyleyebilirim.

The Wake albümü için söylenicek fazla söz yok aslında uzun bir aradan sonra piyasaya çıkmış bir albüm olmasının verdiği dinginlik ve doyum var albümde.

Şimdi söyleşimize geçelim;

Serkan : this is your third album and it took 7 years to make
this so what does this album's mean for you?

Scott Kelly : This album is a record of who I was when I wrote
it. I am the type of person that is in constant flux and
I embrace each moment.

Serkan : and the album is about 35 minutes long and has 7 songs,
you waited for 7 years and made an album which contains only 7
songs, a song for a year,
What does 7 means for you or just a coincidence,
what do you want to say about that?

Scott Kelly : 7 is a great number but 0,3,13,23,33,and 93 are
better. The number 7 has no conscience significance to me on
this record.

Serkan : i listened the album and i have to say that very
attractive vocal you did there, the album's sound is so
sad i think it is telling a story deep inside
so what is the story of the album?

Scott Kelly : It is story of truth. Life in the midst of Death.
The great leveler. True spirit and true belief.

Serkan : i have to say i don't like to separate sounds, there
is just a music for me, in these days we see alot of genres such
as atmospheric metal, math metal, western, southern ...
for your music what genre it is in? 

Scott Kelly : It is what it is a voice and an acoustic guitar.
Songs... Emotion... Silence.



Serkan : and finally are you struggling with Gods?

Scott Kelly : Always. The gods have shown me may different
pictures and guided me many different paths. I am humble...

Serkan : and can you explain Neurosis for our readers?

Scott Kelly : Not really... I wouldn't want too.
Neurosis is my family of brothers. We are in it until
we are dead. Music is our temple.
